Sports Massage

Testimonials1

Sports Massage is a form of Swedish massage. It is deep tissue but should be performed at a level comfortable to the client. I used to work predominantly with body builders so am capable and experienced with deep tissue massage.

Although sports massage is aimed at people who regularly participate in sport, it can benefit anyone. If you have a physically demanding job or if you are running around after small children all day then regular sports massage may help you too. Doctors and other physical therapists may prescribe sports massage to help treat bad backs or muscle strains.

Regular sports massage can help prevent injuries. Tension can often build up over time leading to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons as well as the muscles themselves. It can help overcome the effects of training and aid recovery by flushing out lactic acid and other toxins accumulating in the muscles.

The benefits of sports massage are:

• Prevention of Injuries
• Decrease Muscle Tension
• Improve Tissue Elasticity
• Aid Recovery
• Relieve Tension on Joints, Tendons & Ligaments
• Maintain or Improve Range of Motion & Flexibility
• Relieve Aches & Pains
• Breaks down Adhesions and Scar Tissue
• Improves circulation & Lymphatic flow
• Removes metabolic bi products surrounding the tissue
• Boosts Performance!!!!!
